so im not looking to make this car run low 9's on the track i just want this car to produce a good ammount of horsepower without having to swap my engine, but everywhere i go i ask questions and of course i get the answer dont bother just drop a 350 in it but i dont want to so what can i do to this motor without blowing it

what would you mean by saying that you want just good enough horsepower. tire squeeeeeeling or sit you in your seat. i mean high flow intake pendulum and runners would help. i decided to keep my 305 as well. i am going to do what i listed with new heads. also like 89305formula has in his sig. descreen the maf and get something like the slp cold air intake with air foil and you'll notice a diff. to start with.

 

i have a 305 tpi in my camaro its ok.. my mods are under drive pullies.. headers.. 3'' cat back with flomaster...msd coil...#19 svo inj...tb by pass..
ported plem... jet tpi air foil... new trans with stall comverter..and good tune..
will rost tires off no problem.. with 273 gears.. posi.. rear gears next 342... and cam..
