Difference between TBI and TPI serpentine setups...
Are there any differences in the brackets and bolt holes between a TBI serpentine setup and a TPI serpentine of the same year? I have someone who is willing to sell me their serpentine setup, however it was off of an 88 F-body with TBI, and I am retrofitting to a older TPI unit.
If you have done this, what problems did you run into?
Thanks,

Should be the exact same, except some of the braces are different, and are unneeded.

Mike,
I know you've been e-mailing Phil about this one. I swapped a serpentine system from a '92 305 TBI RS. Everything works except one support brace. On the TBI, this brace attaches to the passenger side bracket behind the A/C compressor and the top of the intake (towards the front edge). On the TPI, this brace bolts to the front vertical surface of the TPI base (intake manifold). Fortunately, this brace (#10105292) is still available from Chevy for about $5. The bolt is 8 x 1.25 x 25 (#11508106).
The odd thing is on Phil's '89, he doesn't have this brace. I'll e-mail both of you an exploded illustration. Hope this helps.

I was wondering if either of you knew the part # or amount to take off a TPI serpentine setup after you remove the smog pump. How many inches do you take off the belt or the part# to the belt.
