Need help, please! The Camaro died on the way home from Super Summit!!!
I took the Z to Super Summit tonight. On the way home, I'm crusing at about 35 MPH and it dies. I coast to the side of the road and try to restart it, to no avail. When I turn the key, I can hear the fuel pump cycle on, so I'm pretty sure it's getting fuel. I walked home to call for a tow and when I returned it ran for about 20 secs and died again. It has a new Accel module, wires, cap and rotor. I scanned the computer for codes and got nothing besides 12. The car has been recently plagued with a lousy idle, on and off, as well as a slight off idle miss, sometimes. Any ideas where to begin? I'm planning on checking the fuel pressure, first thing in the AM. Thanks

This may sound dumb but slap your computer. I had the same problem and it ended up being that. Also check your module. I had one go bad already in 1 day. also if you want to stop up at annas tomorrow night I'll bring up an extra module that works. I dont need it cause I run though an MSD

Thanks Matt! I don't know if I'll be able to make it out to Anna's tomorrow. I'm supposed to be in Mogadore tomorrow for a Graduation party and then Sunday for the Graduation. Hopefully, I still have the original module in the garage and I'll just swap em.

Bad injector maybe...I had something very similar happen to me. Going about 50 car dies, wont restart. Didn't try it again untill next day and it starts then dies, and wouldn't restart for awhile. Disconnected the injectors one by one (hooked them back up each time i unhooked a new one) and car ran with the bad one diconnected.

Thanks Mo! The car started right up this AM. I went for a ride around the block and it died again so I tried disconnecting the fuel injectors one at a time and it fired right up with #8 disconnected.
Looks like I'll be heading back out to Summit for a set of 24 lb. Accel injectors.
