Monday I am going to go remove an 89 tpi unit from a wrecked IROC. I was wondering what tools I will need to bring along with me so I don't have any surprises when I am removing it. Also, what other tpi parts will I need to remove from the car to make the swap from tbi to tpi besides the intank fuel pump, ecm, wiring harness, intake manifold, plenum, runners, injectors and throttle cable. Will I need to get the wiring harness that is in the dash as
well so that my gauges will work? Any suggestions would greatly be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

bring a torx bit set. i use a set that fits on a 3/8 drive ratchet. you can get em at autozone. it comes with like a T15-T50 so your pretty much covered. after that just the usual sockets and extentions. you might wanna take some open end wrenches just incase there is a point where you cant fit a ratchet/socket in a tight spot. the fuel pump, fuel lines, fuel rails, tpi plenum, throttle body, runners, manifold base. is what you need. if it has em, dont forget to snag the sensors like the MAF sensor, TPS, etc. all in all, if its your first time, just take it slow, use as many cuss words as possible, and dont take your anger out on the breakable parts.
