TPI parts recommendation

I have a ZZ4 short block with twisted wedge trick flow heads, the cam in it is smaller now but I want to put a cam in it to make about 400 hp, and 450 ft/lb. I have a 700R-4 trans, and 3.23 gears. My quest, is if I move up to this cam to make this much horse, what would I have to do to my TPI in order to support this much horse. I don't know too much about this computer stuff. I also have a 2400 rpm stall so i'm looking for mid-high range horse. Thanx guys

Get a pair of SLP Runners and port them for maximum airflow. There is more metal to port with the SLPs than any other long runner out there. Fully port the plenum and match to runners. Get the Edelbrock base and fully port it out and gasket match to runners & heads. If you need more RPMs out of the intake -take the SLP runner divide down until it is making power at the RPM you want. Get the least expensive 52mm TB you can find and make sure the plenum is ported to match. If you plan on keeping the long runner setup make sure you get a cam that will work within the RPM range that the motor can breathe at. (@.050 in.lift--211-219 int. & 214-224 exh. with a 112-115 lobe sep. and get the highest lift within these specs.)

You didn't mention if you had headers or what kind of exhaust setup you had. The 1&3/4in. headers work best for max HP. Make sure the rest of your exhaust is very free flowing. You want the least restriction as possible ( don't listen to people that say you need some back pressure from the exhaust system on a TPI car.)--(make HP with the exhaust and get your torque from the motor)

Make sure you have a very good ignition system because the stock parts don't work very good after 4500 RPMs.

After these mods (or anything else you are going to do)- get a custom chip burned for your exact specs. Then fine tune with the fuel pressure.

I'm probably forgeting something but most of what you need to make 400 hp is mentioned - I'm sure one of the other guys here will point out anything that I have missed.

Don't let my sig. fool you -This is not my first or the fastest IROC that I have owned.

edelbrock base extrude honed, slp runners completely siamesed and the accel cam with 211/219,or the lt4 hot cam,by siamesing the runners it will take that area out of the equation making the runners act like part of the plenum shortening the amount of space the air has to travel to get to the valves you'll lose a little low end but the unit will be able to breathe a lot higher
