Quick Question: Minimum Air w/ Manual Trans

I have a quick question with regards to setting minimum air with a manual trans. Every set of instructions I see says to put the trans in drive. Do they not think that some people have a manual? Anyway, how low of an idle should I obtain? Right now it is between 500-550. Is this where I want to be? I am completely stock. TPS is at .50 and IAC counts are now at 25 at idle.

If the car idles fine at 500 than thats just fine. But I would set the TPS up to .60V instead of .50V.
