need help ID'ing this TPI unit

I have a TPI system, but not sure what it is off of.

ECM # 1226870

intake # 14081005

throttle body 17085051
1485 HUY

ESC unit (I guess) 14080620
says Bosch on it

This is a MAF system and I have the harness too.

Once I can figure out what its from, I will post it in the for sale section

Thanks

Well from the ecm # it tells that it is from a 1985 Camaro. I believe they were all 305's. FWIW These are the LEAST desired TPI unit as far as the ECM/harness . HTH

Re: need help ID'ing this TPI unit

Yes, I agree with 87sstpi, the 85 is the least desireable unit out there. The ecm is proprietary, the baud rate is really slow compared to others, and the mass air burn off system is part of the ecu compared to being a relay in later models(86-89). if you just want a working system go for it, it works just fine but if you are hoping to modify it; best sell it and get a later model unit.

Cheers!!

*edit* I just saw that you were selling it anyway, good luck with the sale.

86-89 f body. Does it have cold start injector(9th injector)? Then it would be 86-88. If not then it is an 89 setup. They are all MAF setups. HTH

Re: need help ID'ing this TPI unit

If it's there it will be on the driver's side middle/bottom of the runners next to the small 'tube'. It will have a small fuel line going to it and goes to the back of the fuel rail. If you don't have it, congrats, you have probably the most sought after MAF setup: the 1989 version. HTH

Re: need help ID'ing this TPI unit

I have another question... Oh and 88SSTPI, I didn't see any 9th injector so I do believe I have the 89 setup... Okay, sorry back to the question I was going to ask. My car is a 92 Camaro, with the electronic speedometer... Is changing to the TPI harness and computer from the 89 going to effect my speedometer/gauges?

Re: need help ID'ing this TPI unit

I just found the perfect site to ID your TPI unit/ ECM... I took the 2 screws off the ECM cover so I could get inside. Then I located the prom chip and the other chips that where in there and searched the numbers on this site I am about to post. Turns out you were right 88SSTPI, my TPI setup came off of a 1989 L98 5.7 Car... Very nice site to decode ECM check it out.
