Hard Starting problem solved!
Just an FYI.
I replaced my cold start injector with a new one, and the engine starts like it should.
The old one leaked bad enough, that when I had my intake manifold off (another story), and tipped it over, lots of raw fuel spilled out of the cold start passages.
And I was able to buy a brand new cold start injector, identical to my old one, from a local parts store. Bosch!
So if you need one, don't hesitate to buy an aftermarket one, it probably is the same one you need.
Yippe!
Mark.

Mark,
Thanks for that info! What parts store did you get it from? I would have thought the cold start injector is only available from a GM parts counter.
It has got to be less than buying from GM. How much did you pay for it? Have the part number?
Mike
One more thing Mark. Did you measure the resistance across the coil on the bad injector? If so what was it...I am really curious on this. If you didn't do you have access to an ohm meter? Thanks again!

The injector was listed under a supplier called "Blue Streak". Their part number was "CJ1". But in the box was a Bosch injector, part number 0 280 170 600. There is a rochester number on it too 17080402. It was a tad expensive, 87 bucks canadian. So that's about 50-ish US.
I measured my injectors before and they all were fine. My problem was that the cold start injector leaked.
I have three cold start injectors. The two of them measure 4.3 ohms. The third is out in cold garage ...

My 86 Iroc is a bear to start the first time evry day. Thanks for the tip and I think I will replace my cold start injector as well.
He found a bosch one because it was remanufactured. Thats why if you buy a remanufactures MAF from a parts store, its most likely going to also be a bosch. I know that Kragen(CSK) carries them, I used to work there.
