Haltech E6GM computer
Haltech E6GM computer
Does anyone have any knowledge of this controller and its ability to run a tpi system? In particular I am considering it to control a TPIS Mini-ram on a 383 for my 91 Z-28. According to force-efi.com and their listing for it, it seems like it would be much easier than trying to burn proms. Anybody?

I would like to know more about it also. Sounds way better than burning your own proms. The price isnt bad compared to others. It sounds like you just plug it in, no harness or sensors required. Just the oem stuff, you will need a cheap lap top to program it though.

kick back
Sounds pretty good! Wonder if it does EGR, CCP, AIR, fans, TCC, etc. I might fax the distributor down in Connecticut for some info and the MSRP.

The E6GM is nothing compared to the stock Speed Density ECM (1227730). The only thing that it has going for it is the fact that it can be programmed on the fly. It doesn't have all the extra stuff that the 730 ECM has. The 730 has remarkable idle control, and a lot of little extras like Highway Mode that will allow you to get about 30mpg on the highway. Plus, if you fry your 730 ECM you can pick up an extra one for like $50 at almost any junkyard. Fry a E6GM and then you'll be paying serious cash to have it fixed.
730 is way better. Now, if the E6GM offered things such as Wide Band O2 and SEFI then I would consider it. But, it doesn't. The E6GM has absolutely nothing in comparison to the 730 except that it can be programmed on the fly. With the 730 you have to flash a new EEPROM and put it in. So, with the E6GM you save about 3 or 4 minutes ... definitely no enough to justify its expense, less features, and higher maintenance costs.

All Natural. No Force. No Drugs. Stock Bottom End. Stock Body Panels.
Gunning for NA 11's with bigger cam, bigger stall, and bigger exhaust.
