distributor conversion

Is there a way to make an '85-86 TPI distributor work with an '87 (and possibly later) harness? Thanks!

there is a difference?
we sell the tpi harness conversions and have
sold 84-92 distributors that work.
are you speaking of the small diameter
distributors? if so we have made harness pig
tails to make that functional.

Check the pin outs for the different applications and make an adapter for it.

I know you can swap the HEI with internal coi l and HEI with external coil in the 1986-1989 TPI cars.

Apart from that, you would need to check the harness and verify the pin outs are the same. It would not suprize me to see GM change things slightly with the 1990 speed density TPI setups.
