Best TPI fuel Pump for a carb 383???

I have a 86 IROC which was TPI. I have a 530 HP 550 Tq 383 (at the flywheel) I am using a stock TPI fuel pump in the tank. Im going to replace it as it is on its way out...what fuel pumps are you guys using?

You want to use a fuel injection pump with a carb? Fuel injection has a pressure of like 40lbs. You only need like 7lbs of pressure with a carb. Sure you could regulate it down but you're going to have more fuel going through the return line than the supply line!

well, it was easier to use the stock pump. I tryed leaving the pump dead in there, and using a mechanical pump, but it wasnt sucking it threw the electric pump. Im using a return style regulator, so thats not a problem. And If i use a mechanical pump, the lines come from the driver side, so ill have to run those over to the passanger side, and then run them up to the carb, its to much fuel lines and messy to me.

You dont have to use a mechanical pump, you can use an inline electric pump designed for carbs. Just splice it into the lines somewhere. I would've thought you could leave the dead pump in there but Ive never tried it so I'll take your word on that. Im not really sure how you would deal with that, just take it out and run a hard line down into the tank? If you really want to run a high pressure (fuel injection) pump I would invest in a really, really good regulator. That much pressure getting through to the carb would really f' its day up bad.
