just got a GTA
just got a GTA
Hi, I'm new to the forum and the TPI engines, and i got some quick q's.
-could I replace the cat with a cut-out and not have to worry about the o2 sensor?
-my car seems to make this weird, not ticking noise, more of a not smooth flowing sound, from around my fuel injectors, could it just be the injectors are old/dirty, or is it something else?
-and i see performance wise that BBK parts seem to be a couple bucks cheaper than Holley or Hooker, does BBK stuff compare well to Holley stuff or no?
thanks,
Bernie

The catalytic converter doesn't affect the O2 sensor, since it's downstream from the sensor. Our cars don't have rear O2 sensors either. The ticking noise could be several things, it's hard to know without hearing the noise. Try taking a long screwdriver, and with the engine running, touch the end of it to each injector, and the other end to your ear. If one of them is louder than the others, that will definitely find which one. It could also be rocker arm noise, try listening to the valve covers with the same trick.
