I keep reading on here about the wiring harness. I have a 1992 tbi 305. I am currently looking for a tpi setup on ebay. Now do I need a new wiring harness for this or will my factory harness work. I think I need a new ECM, is this correct? I know I will be looking for an 87 on up tpi setup. Could anyone let me know if I need the whole harness from a tpi setup or if I can use my factory harness. Also if I need a harness, will I need the year of the tpi setup harness or the 1992 tpi harness? What about gauges and so on also?
Thanks for your knowledge.

Did you read the tech article on this website about changing from TBI to TPI? Not to mention the several other threads from members who have done this swap?
Yes you need a 90-92 TPI computer. You can use your existing harness if you change the wires around as described in the tech article and the threads. That would be the best option, because of the complexity of a '92 harness. The gauges will work the same because the sensors are almost identical.
