anti-freeze & 02 sensors

The TB coolant bypass hose busted going down the interstate last week. I noticed that the duct for the MAF was loose after I saw the anti-freeze dripping out of it when I took it off to fix the hose. I have no idea how much A-F the engine sucked in on its short drive to the reststop. My question is -Does the 02 sensor give false readings with A-F cooked on to it? I have heard that the A-F turns into silica/silicon? and prevents the sensor from reading the A/F correctly. Or? does it make any difference?

not sure on the o2. just you are really lucky! of course too much would lock up your eng. even a little could cool a pistion too quick crack a ring or bend a valve. old timers barly use any water to clean carbon out of an eng.

You're right, coolant kills o2 sensors. I speak from experience. Atleast your spark plugs are clean now.

whiteroc what I am saying is the water really cools stuff off quick and you use less gass than you think.
