Looking for mild mod ideas...

Hey guys,

I picked up a pretty nice 86 Z28 recently, and I'm wondering what to do with it. It's only got 89k on it, so its prolly gonna become my new daily driver. It has a nice Magnaflow catback, but I'm looking at spending about $1000 on it, and I'm trying to figure out where to start. I'm not going overboard (heads, cam, engine swap, etc) with this one, as my real toy is my formula, I just want a little bit more oomph out of my A-B transport. Any ideas?

I am kind of lost for what your looking for. From what you said you don't want to touch the engine. The only things you could really do is headers and possibly a torque converter, gut the intake, tb bypass. Thats about all you could do!

Re: Looking for mild mod ideas...

As I said, it's my new daily driver, so I really am looking at mostly minor stuff that won't require a lot of "down" time, plus I'm not a big fan of breaking into virgin motors, especially since it's a "mere" 305. I do like the ideas you've thrown out so far though, much appreciated. I was thinking better breathing would be a good place to start, with maybe a few suspension pieces to kinda round out the mix... It's a G92, which if I remember correctly includes the F41 suspension, but there is still room for improvement there, just kinda looking at what little tidbits will help the most. I also fabbed some subframe connectors, so thats one less thing...
