ok im going to be using a megasquirt ecu on my tpi engine, fresh 305 rebuild with lunati voodoo 60103lk cam kit, ported and polished stock heads with 1.94/1.5 valves, and siamesed intake. heres the question, megasquirt says might want to use a known good carb and intake to break the engine in. i really dont want to plumb everything for a carb just to run the engine for 30 mins for breakin(i will if i absolutly need to but dont want to) do i have to do this? or will it be ok if i get a good tune to start? also if this is the better idea will the computer controlled carb work for breakin without the computer?
