Differences between Accel/Lingenfelter runners....
I picked up a used set of these runners for a good price not realizing that there were 2 different kinds made. I believe these were from a 1987 Iroc and I have a 1990 LB9.My next generation catalogue lists 2 types of these TPI runners 85-88 and 89-92. Does anyone know the difference? Actually Slp and Edelbrock also list different runners for these same years. Its not a speed density issue because 1989 had maf.Damn I hope I can use these.

You can use them, I don't think you will have any problems. There may be a hole in the drivers side runner for the cold start injector, but that shouldn't cause any problems. I was using the 1990+ runners on my 87 camaro for a while, I don't need the cold start injector in california.

To use 85-88 runners on an 89-92 car, you'll need to plug up the driver's side small tube with silicon, to prevent vacuum leaks. The difference between 85-88 and 89-92 is the cold start injector. 89-92 doesnt have it.
