EGR solenoid

Hi, I am trying to put my engine back together, I have a crappy Chilton's manual, and have been searching on here for a couple hours, and cant figure it out.

What/where is the connector that connects to the back of the EGR solenoid, the solenoid has a little metal clip on it, looks to be a vacuum port. I cant figure it out at all.

Please...I need help.

Is it just a vacuum line that comes off of the plenum? Oh, this is a 91 L98 t/a.

Re: EGR solenoid

It says in my chilton that there is a wire that goes from the egr solenoid into the ecu?

Re: EGR solenoid

the metal clip on the solinoid should have a littie "sponge" that is a filter for that port, its NOT a vacume port.one line comes from the back of the plenum, the other goes to the egr valve.

Oh man, you are a life saver, I looked everywhere, nothing specified what went there, I have a chiltons, I looked on the net, everywhere. Thank you so much. I was about to rip all the egr stuff off, and go buy some tuning stuff, just to get it back together, haha.

Re: EGR solenoid

The wire from the EGR valve is a temp feedback to the ECM. This is how the ecm knows that the egr is working, no/wrong feedback = egr code,
