Question For John Millican on LT1 conv.

John,
For the conversion, your article calls out 1/2" drilled and pipe tapped holes for the 3/4" nipples. I hope this is a typo. Should it be 3/4". I'm pretty sure I know the answer, but I thought I'd point it out so it can be corrected. Thanx for the great info.

Nope, no typo. Maybe I can make it clearer though.
I did use 3/4" heater nipples(as short as possible-NAPA). That dimension is not the thread size, it's the O.D. of the fitting. The thread size is 1/2"-14 NPT.
I drilled and tapped for a 1/2"-14 NPT but do not drill a 1/2" hole. I drilled a 23/32" hole before tapping.
