What next?

I have recentally installed the Edelbrock heads and header and was wondering what I should do next. I was thinking about finishing the Edelbrock package with the intake and the runners and the throttle body, and maybe a ZZ9 cam, but wasn't to sure if that is the way to go. I am happy so far with the improvement of the heads and headers so I would just assume to stay with the same brand for the rest of the engine. My best run with this setup was 13.86 at 102mph with pep boy tires and a very windy day (going against the wind). So with the proper tires and a better day I know I can improve this time. Anyways, any suggestions would help, especially if you have close to the same combo. Thanks

Aaron

I would go withthe edelbrock base and then something a little more stock looking for runners and plenum, just for a little more element of surprise But, I say that just as far as looks. You can get nice large tube runners from so many manufacturers now, like SLP, TPIs, arizona speed and marine, LPE, Accel..... I know when I do the cam and heads on mine next winter, I will go for the arizona speed runners because they polish them for you, and it looks so sweet!!

But, if looks do not matter to you, or you like the looks of the edelbrock runners, then go for it, it is nice to have a matched up system... besides, they probably got most of there performance figures with all their parts right?

Good luck

Thanks for the reply. I will probably stay with edelbrock. Does anyone else have a simular set up to mine, what do you have, what are you running and what do you plan on doing next and why? Thanks again.
