What is this sensor?

So I am trying to replace my coolant temp sensor (not the sending unit, I am replacing the one underneath the throttle body) and I'm pissed because I have to drain the damn radiator or I'll have coolant all over my engine, due to the fact that I need to move the hose that attaches the throttle body to the intake. ANYWAYS, this brings me to my questions, what is the bigger sensor located directly to the left (when standing in front of car) of the coolant temp sensor? I'd like to know asap so I can replace that while I'm this far. Thanks in advance.

Nobody seems to know what I'm talking about when I ask for that part. Is it called a cold start valve?
