code 42 help?? runs great!?!?!

code 42 help?? runs great!?!?!
hey guys. jsut installe dnew injectors in my 305tpi. bosch design III 19lb. the car runs and idles excellent!!! better than ever.
today was the 2nd day i drove it after the injectors and my engine light popped on - found a code 42, Fault at electronic spark timing circuit OR Fault at direct ignition system OR Fault at fuel cutoff relay circuit.
i checked to make sure i didn't forget a connection and all looks good except for a vacuum line i forgut on the bottom of the tb. the car runs great and didn't change when the light came on. so i am confused - -- is this coincidence or could i have caused something. i have also heard of the tps causing this code, but my tps is new and adjusted to .54v ( ireplaced it over a month ago and had no problem).
any ideas where i should start? i was thinking my est or ignition coil but that i would think would cause the car to not run right???? i'm lost...
also, i almost forgot... when i replaced the injectors i also ported out the shrouds in front of the egr port holes at the front of the plennum for more air flow and i also descreened my MAF and yes i made sure the little wires in the maf were ok before reinstalling.
