Using pin B10 Pk ntrl switch to eliminate EGR

I tried searching this but didn't find the anwser to my question.

I'm Swaping to TPI in my car from Carb. I have a book called Tuned Port Fuel Injection by Frank "Choco" Munday. I'm wondering what happens when you do this mod that the book says to do to elminate the EGR. It says to ground Wire B10 park/Nuetral Switch wire. (fooling the computer to thinking the car is in park.) I'm most likely keeping the EGR hooked up on my car as I think from what I've read it will make the car run better. (Not real sure about this either) I won't need to worry about Emissions for the car.

Since the ECU will think the car is in park, will it run right when driving? Since it won't know what speed its actually going. It looks as though that this is a way to eliminate the VSS. Not that I want to do that either. I really want my camaro to run efficiently. Mine is a MAF system.

Just wondering what will actually happen if you do this mod.

Thanks

I did the mod yesterday. No more code 24. Car runs fine in all gears.
