Switching from MAF

I am at a crossroad. My engine is putting out near 400rwhp, and my stock intake can't take it. I was looking into making a 3.5 CAI. But the real question is the MAF. I have it gutted and de screened, It flows 730 ish CFM. What I am looking at doing is converting this to a 3.5CAI with a speed densit setup. This is to get rid of all the restrictions. Should I go with the SD setup or just stick with the MAF and make a 3 inch CAI instead. I don't plan on making any more than 420 to the wheels with this car.

Re: Switching from MAF

My understanding is that SD requires more tuning to get right, whereas MAF will compensate better for aftermarket parts. I've had no personal experience with SD though, so I can't say for sure, just one thing to keep in mind.
