Money, Time, and Knowledge. The more of one you have the less of the other two will be needed, for you time and knowledge will be the key.

The first thing is to learn how to search and read, read, and read some more.

Learning how to test your parts will save a lot of money, with fewer "I bought a new ___ and that didn't change anything"

I started reading last Aug and still have a lot to learn.

Re: 383 stroker with a t-5

I am looking to swap my TPI setup on a 350 for a carb setup over the winter. We might be able to work out some sort of trade. I am on a limited budget, also.

PM if interested.

Thanks,
Cash

Well, to actually do the swap, best bet is to check the classifieds, ebay, etc. etc. and find a complete swap. Computer, sensors, harness, etc. etc. Keep in mind, you need things like a fuel pump and fuel lines that are set up for EFI. I'd suggest reading, reading, reading, and more reading.

But why do you want to go TPI? Many people would argue that a TPI won't properly feed a big inch motor with enough air. To those in the know, who have experience and are willing to test and tune and modify over and over, we've seen some good numbers for big inch TPIs, but I wouldn't recommend it to someone simply looking to add EFI to a carbed motor.
