Any suggestion on tuning? Timing, Fuel pressure etc.

Hello,
I'm in the process of searching and using this in conjuction to hopefully help me with my tuning. I only have the usual, timing gun and Holley adjustable fuel pressure regulator. The car is an 87' Firebird. 305 Tuned Port Injection along with a manual transmission. I've included an Accel Camshaft(211@ .499/ 219@ .525 ) and Intake manifold. I have double springs. Everything is running fine. I just need to tweak it and have it running smoothly. Any suggestions on where I should set the timing? I was thinking 12 degrees BTD and working my way. Lastly, Anyone know what FP i should possibly set it at considering I'm running Ford 19# injectors and I hear they run with different fuel pressure. Thanks in advance.

I would run the fuel pressure at the stock pressure,,, 43.5psi. Also, the timing at idle should be about 6 to 8 degrees BTDC. But you can experiement with both the timing and fuel pressure, starting with the above recommendations. AND, You should buy a scanner; it can tell you alot about how your engine is running and what the computer "sees".

The chip has not been modified. It's factory. I've read people going up to 51psi and 12 degrees BTDC on mildy modifed TPI's, mainly intake setups. I read somewhere that Ford SVO injectors operate 19lbs on different fuel pressure. Thanks for the specifications. That'll really help in the long run.
