WIRING 87 5.7 TPI

I have an 87 TPI set-up that I would like to install on a 350/th400 ( bored 30 over, nothing else). I have the complete wiring harness and all sensors. I will be installing this in a Jeep. I realize that I will have to file manifold bolt holes, but is there any way to make this thing run properly w/out buying an aftermarket harness and chip. Will I need a speed sensor. I have read and searched to the point that I am more confused now than when I started. Please don't blow me out, but I just can't seem to get an answer in laymen's terms from anywhere I have searched.

Re: WIRING 87 5.7 TPI

I'm in the same boat. I have been told that aftermarket wiring is the only way to make my 5.7 TPI work in my 73 T/A. I have a complete factory wiring harness I would like to use if possible.

Any feedback is greatly appreciated.
