Performance Chips Work?

How well do the Chips work i had one for my V6 firebird and did nothing but i have a 305 TPI Trans Am now and will it do much for the V8? I did some mods to it all ready with 160 therm, K&N Air Filter, MSD Ignition Amplifier, Hypertech Cap and Rotor Kit, Jet Throttle Body Airfoil, Performance Exaust with the cat gutted out. Thanks.

Re: Performance Chips Work?

No, they're not worth it. You can accomplish the same thing by advancing your distributor to about 10 degrees initial, installing a 160 degree thermostat, and installing a lower temp fan switch.
