MPFI 406
MPFI 406
Well its going to be a little baby 10:1 motor with forged pistons, I kinda need some schooling on heads though. I know alot of street motors run 190-200cc intake runners but would it hurt to run 230cc runners on a bigger cubed motor? Also im going to be running a LT1 intake on top of these heads with a monoblade 1300cfm TB. Ill have plenty of air in and dual 3" out but then comes my cam question.... Im wanting to stick with the CC 268XFI cam which is .570/.565 lift with STOCK rocker ratio for LT# style motors, so does that mean 1.5 ratio? I was hoping so because if I go with 1.6 rockers and make it about .608/.603 lift and THEN ill definately have a stump puller cam. (keep in mind this will all be going in a 4x4 truck) My last question for you TPI guys is would I be safe with 36lb injectors or should i bump up to 40 for future improvements?

Re: MPFI 406
The .570/.565 lift on the XFI268 is WITH 1.6 ratio rockers.
The XFI268 is a great cam for a 350 TPI but if I was building a 406, I would go with something a little biggger.
Just my 2 cents.
Hope this helps!

Re: MPFI 406
Well ive been looking for something in the .650 range but with a 2000 baseline. I cant seem to find any off the shelf cams with a small duration. anybody know where to get a custom grind cam for a reasonable price?
Re: MPFI 406
Ok so the cam is decided on, its going to basically be a .600 lift 300 duration with 1.5 rockers. But I plan on runnin 1.6s so ill have close to .640 lift which should help this motor breath ALOT more. Now onto injectors, should I just go with 40lb injectors?
