Lets Try this again
I'm having some problems with my TPI set-up and need some help, it's idling rough and bogging.
Here's what I have so far:
Specs
Stock remanufactured 82 Corvette 350 Block and heads (less than 500 miles on both)
86 Corvette TPI converted to 1990 - 1992 Speed Density. 52 MM throttle body, heated o2 sensor.
Custom harness and all new sensors, including rebuilt and flow matched injectors. I also am using a new 90-92 Camaro ECM and a custom chip burned by TPI parts using the 90-92 350 TPI camaro cast iron head baseline.
Stock HEI electronic distributor, plugs and wires (all new)
I also installed a CS144 alternator and upgraded the Big 3 so I know my electrical system is up to par.
I set the base timing at 6* BTDC with the est plug disconnected. I'm sure timing is right...I've done this many times so I'm a pro at it now.
My vacuum is showing 18-20....fluctuating between 18-20...not holding steady. It idles at approximately 750 rpm..but bounces to 500 rpm sometimes. Kinda bogs at idle, even when I'm not touching it.
My fuel pressure is holding a steady 39 lbs
I did a compression test and got
cyl 1 - 151
cyl 2 - 153
cyl 3 - 150
cyl 4 - 152
cyl 5 - 152
cyl 6 - 152
cyl 7 - 151
cyl 8 - 152
^ I think this is fine, to be expected for a brand new motor and heads.
I ran the car for about 15 minutes today to data log, when I turned it off...it would not start back up. I pulled the plugs and they had soot / smelled gas on them. I pulled them out to clean them. What could cause a rich condition like this?
I tried to propane trick to check for a vacuum leak, but didn't notice anything funny.
One thing, about two months ago I went to a show in town..when I was leaving I got on the car a bit and it started acting funny. It died on me as soon as I punched the gas and I had to limp it home. I couldn't keep it idling or running, if I tried to accelerate it would die...I barely worked the gas to get it to move until I got to my driveway. Basically if I gave it gas it would die.
I need to double check my exhaust, it's "possible" that there could be a leak and screwing with my oxygen sensor, plus I welded the bung on myself and I'm not expert welder.
I have the stuff to data log and burn chips, I'm new at datalogging so hopefully I can get this thing to run long enough to do a check.
I hope I didn't leave anything out, if you guys have any ideas that would be great.

I haven't been able to run it long enough to collect any information. I have my spark plugs out right now, after church today I'm going to install them and try to fire it up again.
Thanks again
Thanks again

If it is running rich, it sounds like you either have something wrong with the o2 sensor or the chip is set too rich, or you are having an ignition problem. Were all 8 plugs showing signs of raw gas? Have you tried cleaning and drying out the plugs, and testing it to see if it runs ok at idle and part throttle? It could be that your PE (power enrichment) is set way too high on the chip so that you flood it a wot.

I would check pressure with aload o the engine maybe not enough volume from the pump, pressure would be fine but when you lay into it it could be stumbling or how good of shape are the injectors in ?

I'm going to double check my exhaust manifold, I'm using old style ram horns with a doughnut gasket...it could be leaking.
