stuck injectors?
for some reason my truck runs super rich. wont idle at all. and will backfire like crazy if I ease into the throttle then tap the gas. i have gone through and checked everything. the motor is a 88' 305tpi. ive put in a new gas tank, new filters, new pump, new distributor, new coil, new wires, cap and rotor, the wiring harness is aftermarket so there is no splices of bad connections. I have 47psi at key on at the rail through my guage. m.a.f. is good. good oil psi. Ive tried another computer ive tried another coil. i tried tapping on the fpr to see if it was jammed. no vaccum leaks. I did have the old stock S-10 fuel tank and it had some major rust in it. I was wondering if it clogged the injectors up or made them get stuck open? how can I tell if thats what is causing this. if they are clogged do I need to replace them? or can I get them thorughly cleaned?
I do plan to build up a stealth ram 350 or 383 so could I maybe run bigger ones and turn down the fuel psi? so I dont have to buy new ones twice. if thats the case

Re: stuck injectors?
A quick check... pop all eight injector connectors off. Also remove the harness connectors off the computer. Now check the ground wire of each injector plug to the closest chassis ground or engine bolt. Should read no connection from any injector ground wire to a chassis ground, at all. If you read continuity, you got a skint wire somewhere making the injectors open up.

i have been trying to mess with the timing to see if I got something wrong when I changed the cap and rotor.
also the wiring harness is a painless one so there shouldn't be anything loose or cut
