alright, Iv got 4 fuel lines running from my fuel tank. It looks like three of them run up to the front of the car somewhere. then the last one drops down by the rear axle and has a filtery looking thing on it.

can anybody tell me what that thing is called, lol.

i cant find anything about it on the inernet.

 

Its the tank vent valve some of us are trying to find in the "Gas Problem" thread

 

i type that in the autozone search and nothing comes up. i also typed it in advancedAuto and got nothing.

where can i find one of these?

i just bought one from GMpartsdirect.com last month. was $22.28 plus shipping. I shopped around, and it only got more expensive at the other GM parts places. I did think it was kind of pricey for a plastic doodad, but oh well.

had to replace mine when I cracked the original while dropping the tank to replace the pump.

 

Whadda ya know, I just busted one of these last night. What a coincidence.

It's a little charcoal canister that keeps the gas smell under control as the tank vents.
