bogs at mid-high rpm
hey guys, i installed my 350 tpi into my iroc, it is moreless a stock engine except an intake manifold and runners upgrade. It starts and idles fine, and i am able to rev it in park no problem up to about 5000 rpm. But when I put the car in drive and floor it, at about 3800-4500 it sounds almost like it hits a rev limiter and has no power, it almost sounds like a popping sound. Does anyone know what my problem could be? As I said it only happens under load in drive, not in park. I appreciate all the help. Thanks

i dont know anything about tpi, but with a carb this would mean your getting too much fuel too fast. good luck

Thanks guy I've since then solved it.. it was an ignition problem. I changed my ignition module and that fixed it. I guess it didnt have enough spark at the higher rpm.

just start with the basics, make sure you're getting fuel (injectors and fuel pump ok?), make sure youre getting spark (which you are it sounds like as it idles) but also check your coil if you changed your ignition module already..
