Fueling problem.. won't run without some rigging.
Alright so... I was pressure washin the engine bay awhile back. Afterwards I went to start the car and no joy.. I hooked up the fuel pressure gauge and it barely moved the needle when cranking. Fuel comes out of the test port but only slowly. I can get the car to run but only if I full throttle the TPS sensor and prime the engine with either gas or ether. After I get it to idle with feeding it gas it will run on it's own at a high idle. Still no visible change in fuel pressure. So??? Did I get something wet? Why would the pressure be almost nothing but enough to still run the engine??
Hmmm.... Thanks
The Car is a 1992 Trans am. 5.0 Speed density. Pretty much all stock.

Alrighty... I did some checking. It is not the fuse or the relay. I jumped the relay and I can hear the pump kick on. I still have no pressure at the rail. So either the pump can't manage to put up enough pressure and it's fried. Or the line is clogged somewhere, maybe the filter. I don't think it would one day run fine and the next not if it was a clog??

One last post before I rip out the tank and replace the pump. I replaced the fuel filter and tried that.. NOPE... I then check voltage at the tank. 12V... I then clamped the return line to see if it was the pressure regulator.. Still no pressure. I do have flow still but barely enough to fill a 20oz bottle in a couple minutes. So??????? Anybody have any last minute ideas?????
Thanks
Thanks
