Re: Quick Question about my TPS

cant. i would say it shouldnt run at all. TPS shows throttle positon to the ECM. without it the ECM wouldnt kno how much the TB blades where open and it wouldnt run. theres nothing that can bypass that... like how the ECm can un without the 02 sensor bc it has everything else. there is nothing else but the TPS that tells the ECM throttle blade position

forgetting the maf or map sensor are we?

the ecm calculates fuel based on those readings and rpm as well! if it was strictly tps by rpm, that would be more like a carburetor, commonly known as alpha-n.
Tps is used more for throttle dip-in adjustment and snapping of the throttle instant fuel delivery to overcome a sudden bog.

Re: Quick Question about my TPS

yea.... i guess u could run it without the TPS but ive tried and it didnt lol. the TPS shouldnt affect anything but throttle blade position. it shouldnt really affect max HP of the engine etc. which is what i was trying to say. aka no increased ***** bc u disconnected something that only shows the ECM throttle blade positon... and what traviz stated.
