You need a vortec intake manifold. TPIS sells a manifold that will port match with vortec heads.

Edelbrock also sells a tpi manifold for vortec heads. Also vortec heads don't have EGR ports.

If you are going to run an EGR, you need the Scoggin-Dickey or Edelbrock (they are both the same) manifold, and you will need the Scoggin-Dickey kit to take exhaust from your headers to run the EGR.

Thanks for that.
I think i'll leave it for now, was just thinking if the vortec heads were a lot better flowing than the stock then i'd get a set coz i can get a hsr for cheap for it.
but i think i'll spend the extra cash get the hsr and a set of good flowing 195's

Which vortec heads to get for my 85 corvette 350 auto? Does anyone know which serial number to look for? Do some vortec heads flow better than others?
