Cant go 383,help me rebuild my 355 :(

Hey guys, after getting quotes that were well beyond my budget of 5grand canadian.Im goin to take my 355 and give it a new chance at life. This time I want to squeeze a lil more power if i can and keep my costs down.

To give an idea of why its not running.I had 2 major accidents with this motor when i first put it in.Fuel regulator diaphram brand new was defective and hydro locked on gas and then it had major blow by once that was fixed. Also had mysterious oil leaks on the passenger side rear corner..either head gasket or problem with that head and loud valve tick.

Anyway I want to ditch the Corvette l98 heads..I think I fryed them lol, have the block cleaned and new piston rings.I still have no idea what cam specs are but my speed density chip didnt like it even after trying to tune it for hrs it got better. It wanted to pull way past tpi's 5000rpm band so Im sticking with it since i now have a hsr.

I was looking at AFr 180 heads but they are pricey..what the best bang for the buck heads that make good power without going broke.I need some grunt back under my hood asap.
