1987 Camaro 5.0L TPI Problems
I have not "driven" my Camaro since May because school is out, but I do let it run for a few minutes every now and then to make sure the engine stays "fresh." However, today was the first time that the Camaro had been driven for more than 5 miles, and it happened to light up the Service Engine light about 15-20 mins into the trip (both ways). When I got home, I pulled off the trouble codes 32, 33, 34 and 36.
I also noticed that the engine had a bit of trouble idling from a cold start when I would just let the engine run. It would drop around 1,000 rpm or lower, then it would kinda hiccup, and then it would rev back up to 1,500 rpm. It would do this a couple of times until the engine warmed up a bit. It used to just run 1,500 rpm for a while, and then rest at a lower rpm with no problems.
Last time the light had come on, it was the Oxygen Sensor, but that was replaced last year.
Anybody got any ideas to what the problem is?

Re: 1987 Camaro 5.0L TPI Problems
im currently troubleshooting my own code 33 and 36, keep me posted on your progress. so far i managed to check the relays, the power maf relay and the burnoff relay, and they didnt seem to be broken(you can check to see if they rattle by shaking them, if they rattle, theyre done) but i also checked to see if the burnoff function was working, which it wasnt. so im off to get a new MAF burnoff relay tommorow. hopefully thatll clear atleast one of the codes.
