Sorry if this has been asked, but I didn't see it. To my understanding, my 1992 z28 is a "speed density" vs. "MAF" car? Exactly what does this mean?

They are two different ways for discharging fuel into the motor based upon air flow to the engine. Below are some links. Modifying your engine will require you to tune your cars computer. MAP is not bad, just good to know what type you have since that will affect how you mod and tune your engine. MAP sensor is located at upper right part of engine bay near driver side if you are looking at car from front bumper. It is to the right of brake booster assembly. I believe it connects to rear left side of intake plenum.
