Edelbrock Runners not sealing.

Alright so I picked up a set of eddy runners for dirt cheap. And turns out that the driver side rear didnt seal to the intake. I havent tried yet but my buddy has acces to a mill so im thinking 0.01" would almost do er good. Also i noticed the base to runner bolts on both runners, one has a heli coil and one is completely stripped.

I know this sounds like i am whining but im kind of choked. Im thinking about just heli coiling the other side and getting the runners beadblasted and act like nothing happened. . Because there's no way that coil will let lose while driving right?

I just want to know if you guys have had the same experience.
Thanks!

Re: Edelbrock Runners not sealing.

I just installed mine and had sealing issues. It turned out that I needed the Edelbrock gaskets to get it to work. The runners also had to be clearanced around the fuel rails. I would get those gaskets before I started milling material off.

Haha, buddy had the gaskets I guess. What im gonna do is pick up the gaskets and bolt it up to the baseplate and see. Then mill that little bit off until it's just right. Or I may try sealing it with silicone gasket maker. .
