ok im just guna give this in detail,
i baut this car for my gf a year ago and it hasnt ever ran very well, lately since she has ben in collage iv had time to mess araound under the hood. the car is a 1986 with the tpi and the hei type dizzy.

ok so the car runs awsome and goes fast and here is the brain killer at idle it can go anywhere from 455 rpm (about where its suppose to be) all the way to 1500 rpm. some times id will idle good then just out of nowhere die like sumone turned it off and blow out black, i kno thats fuel but im not sure why. when i un plug the dizzy to comp wire by the heater unit it goes to 550 rpm and will run there for ever at 8* wich is a tiny bit off but wuld that cause that much havoc for the base timing to b off that much?

have changed the following:
nock sensor
coolant temp sensor( the one for comp)
mass air flow
tps
cap and rotor and coil - (it makes an odd clicking sound but i dont kno if thats normal or not)
