thoddle body

ok i have a 92 Z28 with the tpi 305.i have a 86 corvette 350 throddle body that i want to see if i can use it on the 305.will it work or will it cause me problems?i know it has a bigger cfm bore but will it choke my motor or give it alittle more power?

ALL 85-92 TPI throttle bodies are 48mm, so the Corvette throttle body (unless it has been ported) is no bigger than your current throttle body.

The other problem is the throttle linkage will be different.

On a stock engine, you're throwing away money on a larger throttle body.

well the openings r bigger then my stock 305.the linkage looks the same as well.so ur saying that it wouldnt make a differance?

Obviously not a stock 48mm TB

If the linkage is the same it is not off a 86; late models TB have a quadrant ( groove ) the cable sits in whereas the early ones just have a stud the end of the cable fits to.
