Is it worth the money?

So after i passed smog in march this year i decided not to spend anymore money on my car.

Now i have decided: once i save up enough money to buy a new Cadillac CTS-V (09 LSA 550 HP), they will have gone down in price...

In the mean time I think i will go with a cam and head swap. Right now it is a 350 (ZZ4 block) with 193 heads and god knows what cam. I have done injectors, AFPR, Air intake and headers back exhaust (GMMG).

I made a list and the grand total came out to be $2200 for Edelbrock 60849 heads, TPiS ZZ9 Camshaft and Comp Cam rockers, and gaskets and cam and head bolts.

Should i do it??? Computer retune is not an issue, I got the hang of it.

I just need a Jimeny Cricket on my shoulder to point me in the right direction

Re: Is it worth the money?

on second thought I've been reading through the forums and think the TFS 195's are a much better head, and this combo has everything I would need for much less. I was liking the idea of how similar the Edelbrock heads were to the corvette heads, thinking that it would make it easier to tune. But has anyone used this one with speed density?? The only thing i worry about is how radical the cam is. The car will be my daily driver........

EDIT: F**K it i'll get those heads, with the zz9 cam.

Re: Is it worth the money?

i like your final decision, general consensus is edelbrock heads aren't up to par with some of the other aftermarket head companies such as tfs or afr and such, so good choice there.

i like the setup you have chosen so far very nice
