TPI swap questions please help.
I will be putting tpi in my tbi 90 305 Camaro. I am looking to purchase a setup from an 89 Transam. This is MAF not Speed Density right? It comes with the Computer but no PROM. So my first question is what PROM will i need and will I run into a VATS issue? if so whats the cheapest way to fix this. Also will i need to change my VSS? What about my knock sensor? Its going into a 305. I know the 305's had 19lb injectors is that the only size i could run. I am new to this and what like to do it right the first time if anyone has anything else they could tell me to help me out that would be great. thanks everyone

You need knock sensor , prom and VSS to suit a '86 - '89 TPI 305 as '90+ are different ( and 350 different again )
You can run any size injectors you like but will require a custom tune on the chip if not stock size.

ok,well i plan on using an oem chip i don't want to get anything tuned. So I will have to run 19lb injectors correct? also can someone tell me if i will have a VATS problem

I'm wondering why the swap? Might gain five HP if that. But the 305 will stick with the 19 lb injectors. The 89 would have the VATS system that will need to be programmed out in the PROM. The TPI will work without the MAF but in a limp home mode, not a good way to go. I'd recommend against the swap myself.
