tpi or carb??
Not sure if this was the right place to post this sorry if its not but here it goes...i picked up a 1987 iroc camaro for 100 bucks...but it has no motor or transmission but the owner also gave me the tpi set up complete with manifold and injectors..the car still has the ecm and wirin installed in it...so my question is should i just get a 350 and make it tpi or should i tear everthing out and do it carb??

Re: tpi or carb??
Great score on your 87 IROC! Let the fun begin. Guess you have to ask yourself if you want the original TPI look, setup and it's level of performance or something else? I went through this same delima with my 87 TPI IROC. At the time I chose to keep it powered with a Gen I 350 but add to it a list of performance upgrades. My son and I also tinkered with the idea of a carb'ed motor but those long (polished) runners are great original eye candy. Otherwise, the next motor will be of the LSX family. Since you got the car so cheap, might consider that option too while your crunching the $umbers.
Have fun!

I would leave it TPI, you've got the harness, you've got the computer, all you need is the engine, dime a dozen there. Go TPI, you can always change for the same ammount of money down the road, no money spent, none lost.
Even if you had to spend money down the road to get the TPI to run right, for what you spend, you could sell the whole thing when you decide to go carb for $300-$400 and be even.

I'd go TPI personally. Superior torque and drivability. Once you get the hang of it, fuel injection isn't really any harder than dealing with a carb. It is tougher to initially setup, but afterwards its easier to deal with. (Just my opinion.)
