Injector Leak???

My 92z is running like crap when I first start it. I can't start it and leave it. It acts, or is actually loading up really bad. I checked the fuel pressure and it is good, but if I leave it, it is 0 pressure when I come back. Once I run it and clear it out, it warms up and is fine. If it sits for a few hours it does the same thing. It is a mild 355,cam, head work, tune, yada, yada.. Anyone think it is the injectors leaking off? Or maybe the tune at start-up??

Re: Injector Leak???

it sounds like either the injectors are leaking down to me. i could also be the fuel pump losing the prime. i had the same problem, ckecked fuel preasure and it read fine, until it cut out one day and never came back

Re: Injector Leak???

I hate to pull the injectors and replace them, especially if it is the start up tune. I am just starting to learn about the tuning so I may do the injectors...

Re: Injector Leak???

try pulling the plugs and if one of the cylinders is wet then you have a leaky injector

Re: Injector Leak???

That is the next thing I could try. I talked with a friend of mine earlier, and he reminded me of something. He had a 91z and it wouldn't start, it acted like it was loading up. It ended up being the temp. sensor. It was reading really low, so the comp was flooding the engine with fuel. How would I check the temp. sensor? I may have to break down and take it somewhere....That sux....
