Fuel lines...
My fuel pump died... instead of dropping the whole rear end I opted for cutting a hole in the back under the hatch. I've got good access now but the lines won't come through. instead of cutting a bigger hole I'm thinking to cut the lines at the hole and making a connection there.
Three of the lines are no problem and they are just normal hose and clamp assemblies. but the main line to the TPI has that special threaded connector.
How critical is that?
I have extra lines, connectors and hose so my thought was that if it is critical, then I will braze a section with the male end at the hole I've cut and use the extra hose to carry it over to the normal connection near the filler.
Is it critical?
Does my approach make sense?
Thanks in advance,
Robert
