1987 TPI Manifold Replaced Under Warranty

Hello All!!

I was wondering if anybody had their TPI intake manifold replaced under warranty due to bad sealing of the intake gaskets, which on a cold engine, (first start of the day), gave the dreaded blue smoke like valve stem seals do, when they leak??

Apparently, this was a technical service bulletin (citing bad angle on the intake manifold sealing surface) that was used if the customer complained about blue smoke on start up!!

If this didn't cure the blue smoke, then the valve stem seals were replaced, which usually was the problem all along!!

I ask this because, I had this done to my car (July 1989 and the next morning it smoked again), and I was just wondering if anybody else had also!!
