LS1 Parts on a TPI?
LS1 Parts on a TPI?
Hello all. I'm new to the camaro world. Just picked up an 89 'vert. with a 350 for a steal. Needs some work. Needs a throttle body, fuel pump and lots of love.. My first question is, will a throttle body off an LT1 engine fit on this 350?

LS1 throttle body is a hell no. lt1 i believe will work if you do some modifications but it's just as easy to get a TPI unit most of the time

You would have to fabricate a pretty good sized adapter plate for the TB to fit. It would require a few other modifications to make up for the different spacing, and probably require some EPROM tuning to match the different air-flow characteristic vs throttle opening.
The LSX valves, springs, retainers, locks, rockers, and some of the sensors can be adapted to work on the SBC1 engine. Other than that, no, the parts aren't interchangeable.
