I have an 88 Camaro Iroc Z28 with a 305 TPI V8. my car wont start at all. i charged the battery, checked the timing, replaced distriburater cap and rotor button, put new spark plug and plug wires on and it still wont start. im not sure if it is the emissions or not but i really need help.

I had the same problem at one time... found out it was the fuel pump gone bad. Turn the key forward to see if you can hear the pump turn on.
The pump turns on. it was working fine before but just stopped. it wont crank or anything.

check the wires going to the starter might have a bad connection

i had the same issue when i went to start my rebuilt 305 up, make sure your connections are correct on your starter, and just keep trying, my ignition rods and switch were going out in my column, so it just took a bunch of key turns to finally catch and crank the starter.
